However, this place may still look dry if you already know all the popular names – Leisure Mall, AOS ShopRite etc.

Although people are already gradually discovering these fun spots, they still seem to be under the radar.

ToggleQuick Look on the 6 Best Fun Spots in Surulere
- Dope Game And Lounge
- Arts 4 Fun by Crafts Village
- Citi Lounge
- Michelle Party Planet
- Lounge38
- Rooftop View At The Place Nightclub
There’s no single area in Surulere that has all the fun spots in one place.
We had to really dig deep to find some of these hidden gems because, at the time we put this guide together, not many people had discovered them yet.
That said, some parts of Surulere are known for attracting high earners – places like Bode Thomas, Aguda, Alaka Estate, Masha, Ogunlana Drive, and even parts of Yaba.
These areas are quieter, cleaner, and have better roads, which explains why you’ll find more lounges, restaurants, and chill spots there.
On the flip side, places like Shitta, Ojuelegba, Ijesha, Anjorin, Lawanson, and Itire are considered the rougher, more hustle-and-bustle parts of Surulere. Ojuelegba, in particular, is one of the busiest areas in Lagos.
It’s packed with people every day, so instead of lounges and game centers, you’re more likely to find markets and street vendors..

The energy here is insane! The DJ knows exactly what to play, and if you’re looking to unwind and dance your stress away, this is the spot.
Parking is a serious issue here though, but they’ve got a deal with a school about 200m away where customers can park.

I’ve been here over 10 times (yes, it’s that good!), and for a while, Thursdays used to be Salsa nights.

Final Take
We wouldn’t call this an exhaustive list. Of course, there are probably hundreds of spots across Surulere that offer fun activities.
But we’ve visited these places and are confident in their limited exposure for now and value for money and time spent.
My favourite will be the cozy environment and paint and sip that happens at Arts 4 Fun which is relatively affordable.
