What I Considered When Reviewing These Surulere Workspaces
As a remote worker myself, I know what it means to need a comfortable place outside the home or the office that gives you all you need.
Here are some metrics I kept in mind when recommending these centers. I also advise you to prioritize them when picking:
- HOW CLOSE IS THE WORKSPACE CENTER
Surulere is large. Except you have a car, you already know how costly it can be using Uber or Bolt to move to the workspace daily. Especially if you’re on a membership plan, you may need to show up everyday.
So, it’s better to use a co-working space that is as near as possible. It also eliminates the stress of getting there.
- THE COST AND HOW FLEXIBLE IT IS
Can you pay daily, weekly, or monthly? Is it affordable for your budget? Some places even have student discounts.
- FAST INTERNET OR NOTHING
Of course, swift internet connection will be the priority of any coworking space. But some are better than others. Unfortunately, you wouldn’t be able to tell until you use the place.
Luckily, the seven workspaces I reviewed in this article gave me the best experiences with speedy internet.
- COMFORT AND AMBIENCE
I’m sure it’s not just me when I say it’s also cool when you take pictures while you’re there.
So it needs to be a place that is aesthetically pleasing. This factor rubs off on comfort as well. Are there only one type of table and chairs?
What about the sofa? How tall are the bookshelves? Are the lights bright enough? Is the space roomy?
- NOISE LEVELS
I’ve been to Cafe One in Ebonyi state and I know what it means to visit a nice workspace but too many people make noise unbreakable.
That’s okay for some people. The quietness can be a bore for some. Pick one that suits your work vibe.
- DO YOU MEET PEOPLE YOU CAN NETWORK WITH
If you want to connect with like-minded people, find a space that hosts events or has an active community. This can include open-mic on some weekends, comedy club as an extention or book review shows.
Some places offer free coffee, meeting rooms, printing services, or even chill zones. I look out for these perks too.
